The transputer experience: adopting new technology for industrial use in Finland and in Hungary

چکیده
Since its introduction around 1985, the transputer has drawn much attention among researchers and design engineers, due its novel architectural features and excellent performance. However, actual industrial applications have been rare in Finland and in Hungary. Being a clearly identifiable technology, the transputer provides an interesting opportunity to study spreading of technological innovation among potential users.
